2/3 c Butter; melted
1 1/2 c Unsweetened applesauce; HOT
1 c Sugar
2 c Flour
2 ts Baking soda
1 ts (heaping) cinnamon
1 c Raisins
1 c Nuts; if desired
Pour melted shortening into HOT applesauce. Add sugar. Sift in flour,
baking soda and cinnamon. Add raisins and nuts. Bake in greased 9x13" pan
at 375 for 1 hour or for 25 minutes in two 8" pans. Good while still warm
topped with powdered sugar or whipped cream. Source: My Famous Little Black
